Australian footwear brand Aquila has announced Melbourne street artist RONE as its latest ambassador.
He has joined its ‘Real Guys, Real Good Shoes’ campaign talent line-up.
RONE, full name Tyrone Wright is the fifth talent to be announced in the line-up joining NRL legend Benji Marshall, AFL Carlton captain Patrick Cripps, street style photographer Giuseppi Santamaria and chef Adam D’Sylva.
The ‘Real Guys, Real Good Shoes’ campaign launched on September 2.
With an established name in Melbourne’s art scene, RONE is best known for his images of distinctive female muses.
The artist’s work has been displayed on the streets of Melbourne for over a decade, as well as exhibitions internationally in London, New York, San Francisco and Miami.
Among RONE’s popular creations is ‘Empire’, an installation housed in Melbourne’s Dandenong Ranges mansion, Burnham Beeches.
“I’m always covered in paint, however I still like to wear a good pair of shoes. I just need to keep one nice clean pair," he said.
Founded in 1958 by Tony Longo, Aquila is an Australian men’s shoe brand, with over 50 stores nationwide.
