Manning Cartell is among four designer labels set to take on the UK as part of a trade partnership.
The Australian Fashion Council, together with the UK Department for International Trade (DIT), has revealed the designer lineup for a London Designers Abroad Showrrom.
The Showroom will be centrally located during London Fall 2018 Fashion Week from February 16 to 20.
British Consul-General to NSW Michael Ward said this is a huge opportunity.
“It was a very strong field of entries and I’d like to congratulate the winners of the Designer Abroad London Programme. All show great promise for successful UK expansion and I’m excited to see the progress they make in the future.
“I’d also like to encourage all businesses who submitted an application to pursue their plans for global growth with our DIT team.
"Our team of advisors assisted 127 Australian and New Zealand companies expand to the UK in 2016/17, including fashion retailers Mon Purse and Grace Loves Lace.”
Other brands selected to take part in the showcase this year include Pared Eyewear, We are Kindred and Harman Grubiša.
Securing a place on the British Fashion Council programme, the designers will meet buyers, mentors, leading gurus in the world of fashion to aid their expansion into the UK market.
This will be the seventh Australian Designers Abroad event, an international showroom, attended by a variety of global retailers, media and industry players.
