A 2016 cancer diagnosis heavily impacted the lives of Maison De Sabre founders Omar and Zane Sabre.
The brothers' father was diagnosed with leukemia and since his recovery, the pair have been on a mission to give back.
In their leather accessories business, this mission has manifested itself in the form of the newly-launched Make Your Mark Foundation.
Launching the foundation in December 2020, the organisation supports significant global causes through a focus on individual actions and began its support with a partnership with Cure Cancer Australia.
"Zane and I have a very personal connection to the cause," CEO Omar Sabre said.
"Our father's diagnosis was a life-changing experience for us.
"We are committed to giving back to the community of doctors, nurses and health care workers who helped our father overcome the disease
"Given that the spirit of community lies at the core of our brand, we wanted to support a cause that had a global impact, while also being personally significant," he said.
Supporting the Foundation is the Make Your Mark phone case.
10% of sales of every Make Your Mark phone case is donated to Cure Cancer Australia in support of its research into children's leukemia.
Meanwhile, on World Cancer Day (February 04), the business ramped up its support of Cure Cancer, donating 100% of profits from the phone case to the organisation.
"Donating to a cancer research or support charity like Cure Cancer is one of the simplest and most powerful ways you can make a difference," Sabre added.
"My team and I felt so privileged to be part of World Cancer Day both through our Make Your Mark Foundation, and through our partnership with Cure Cancer," he said.
