Another international fashion retailer has beefed up its Australian operations.
Singapore-based luxury etailer Reebonz has revealed it will add to its local offering this month with the launch of a Reebonz Marketplace concept in Australia.
The additional service will now enable Reebonz to offer its members a consignment service for pre-loved luxury handbags and jewellery, both in-store and online.
The service aims to provide sellers with convenient, hassle-free consignment services, including a complimentary sellers kit delivered to their door.
Sellers based in Sydney and Melbourne will also be able to meet with a Reebonz professional atelier in person and drop their products into Reebonz venues for a complimentary consultation.
Buyers, on the other hand, will be able to acquire luxury for less and seize the opportunity to source hard to find items that are no longer in stock through mainstream boutiques.
Reebonz Australia general manager Neil Guo said the decision to add Reebonz Marketplace to the company's local offering was made on the back of local demand.
“Since our store launch just one year ago, we are excited to implement this service after receiving extensive customer feedback for a seller component,” Guo said.
The company added that Reebonz Marketplace is set to become “the largest online destination in Australia where members can buy, sell and consign pre-owned luxury goods nationwide”.
The debut of the Reebonz Marketplace also marks the one-year anniversary of the first Australian Reebonz concept store, which launched in Sydney in 2013.
Originally launched in Singapore in 2009, Reebonz reghulary offers its members a selection of over 120 luxury brands – including Prada, Burberry, Dior, Miu Miu, Chanel and Marc Jacobs – at up to 70 per cent off.
