Retail Apparel Group has announced the latest ambassador for its big and tall menswear brand Johnny Bigg.

Former X-Factor Australia contestant Jason Owen has joined the brand as its newest ambassador, joining other Johnny Bigg faces such as radio and TV personalities Apollo Jackson and Gus Worland and NRL and Rugby Union players Korbin Sims and Sam Kasiano.

Owen came in second place in the singing competition in 2012 and has since been growing his portfolio of work.

In a statement, Johnny Bigg said the partnership with Owen aligns perfectly with his new single.

"Throughout his career, Jason has been subject to criticism of his body and image but is hitting back at critics now with his new single and alignment with Johnny Bigg – feeling comfortable and stylish in clothes that cater for diverse body shapes and sizes.

"The single - Undefeatable - features Mildura born hip-hop artist, Philly, and is all about over coming tough times and never backing down from achieving your goals," the business said.

Owen originally hails from the rural town of Dubbo in New South Wales.

His partnership with Johnny Bigg was announced on October 17.
