The Woolmark Company has revealed the judging panel for the 2022 International Woolmark Prize.
The Merino wool collections presented by the seven finalists will be judged by a panel of 12 industry experts who will decide on the winner, which will be announced at event in London on April 26.
Australian designer Jordan Dalah has been named as a finalist and joins six other finalists from the UK, France, USA, South Africa and China who have been selected to present a Merino wool collection that highlights transparency throughout their supply chain.
This year’s program theme, Play, encourages the seven finalists to experiment with textiles, design and business practices to drive change and innovation for a brighter future.
One of the judges, Alaïa creative director Pieter Mulier said the prize celebrates those that are creating the future of fashion.
"The new generation influences us to make fashion more democratic, more engaged, more connected to the world.
"They ask for an evolution, a radical change; clothes that last, respect their bodies and the environment.
"I’m thrilled to be part of the International Woolmark Prize, an initiative that strongly supports innovation, creation and sustainability," he said.
