Harris Scarfe will return to Sydney with the opening of its new Rockdale store this Thursday.

The store will be the first new site in Sydney the brand has opened under new owners the Spotlight Group, which acquired the business in early 2020.

The opening forms part of Spotlight's investment into the Harris Scarfe brand, with it also enhancing its apparel offering through designer partnerships with Leona Edmiston and recently, Giaan Rooney.

Well known in its home states of South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, Harris Scarfe CEO Graham Dean welcomed the return of the brand to NSW.

"We are excited to be able to provide Sydney with access to great brands and great prices in homewares, manchester, and apparel with the signature Harris Scarfe customer service that our shoppers know and love.

"Harris Scarfe offers a balance of well-known brands and exclusive designers and delivers great value and we’re pleased to be bringing this back to our loyal Sydney customers," he said.

To celebrate the grand opening of Harris Scarfe at Rockdale, locals can enjoy a ribbon-cutting ceremony from The Living Room host and Harris Scarfe ambassador Barry Du Bois, as well as free donuts for the first 250 Harris Scarfe Rockdale customers.

Customers shopping on opening day can also enjoy discounts on products including apparel, underwear and footwear.

Executive deputy chairman of the Spotlight Group Zac Fried added that 2021 marked a new chapter for Harris Scarfe.

"Under the new ownership of The Spotlight Group, we are committed to seeing this established business grow and meet its true potential.

"The family is 100% behind Harris Scarfe and is investing a considerable amount of money into the brand.

"We are incredibly excited and optimistic.

"It’s great to be bringing Harris Scarfe stores back to Sydney and we’re looking forward to starting with the community in Rockdale," he said.

The new Harris Scarfe store will open on Thursday March 18 at 9am.
