Australian bridal label Grace Loves Lace has launched a new locally made occasionwear capsule collection, Amitié.

The six-piece range is manufactured onshore using eco-friendly material made from 7.6 recycled plastic bottles per metre.

The resulting collection is made from 97% recycled materials and is the brand's first foray into sustainable fabrics, founder Megan Ziems said.

"As a brand, we never stop looking for ways in which we can do better.

"We have always manufactured in Australia – so naturally the next step for us is innovating our fabrics, packaging and operations so that we can be really proud of how we function as a business.

"In a world where ethical manufacturing is being talked about a lot, there is so much unethical, tricky greenwashing going on by brands who mass-produce.

"Anyone who chooses a dress from our Amitié collection can know that their purchase is truly making a difference, as opposed to supporting the shady practises of an offshore factory and unsustainable fabric production," she said.

The collection features a range of midi to ankle length dresses and a two-piece set all made of contrasting fabrics including lace and eco satin in black and olive.

To complement the sustainable garments, Grace Loves Lace has also updated all of its packaging to be eco-friendly.

The Amitié collection is available now on the Grace Loves Lace website and retails for between $290-$450.
