David Jones has today launched its 13th campaign in partnership with cancer community service program Look Good Feel Better.

The partnership will see David Jones donate $1 from every sale of lip gloss and lipstick sold throughout the month of September (Feel Better Month) to Look Good Feel Better.

Look Good Feel Better is a not-for-profit organisation and free national program designed to help cancer patients manage the appearance-related side effects caused by any type of treatment for any type of cancer.

Launched in 1990, Look Good Feel Better has helped more than 150,000 women, men and teens feel empowered and confident throughout their cancer treatments.

In 2020, David Jones raised $28,000 for the organisation, and hopes to top this amount in 2021.

David Jones GM of beauty Rachel Duffy-Packer said Aussies can donate in-store or online.

"The impact that the appearance related side-effects of cancer can have on patients is often overlooked, which is why David Jones is so proud to be partnering with Look Good Feel Better again this year.

"Whilst not all stores will be open this month, the donation will still be applicable for online sales so we encourage Australians to purchase their favourite lipstick or lip gloss from David Jones to help us support the amazing work Look Good Feel Better do in empowering those experiencing cancer treatment," she said.

Look Good Feel Better's services include Face to Face Workshops, Home-Delivered Confidence Kits, Virtual Workshops and Confidence Consults, with the aim to equip patients with the skills and knowledge needed to face their cancer diagnosis with confidence.

Look Good Feel Better GM Carol Kavurma praised David Jones for its support of the organisation.

"We’re extremely grateful for our longstanding relationship with David Jones, and for their support of the Look Good Feel Better program.

"Feel Better Month gives all of us the opportunity to recognise the importance of a positive mindset and confidence when dealing with a cancer diagnosis, and the awareness and funds that David Jones helps raise throughout the month is invaluable for our cause," she said.

The Look Good Feel Better program is run by the Cancer Patients Foundation.

Myer will also run a 14-day fundraising drive for the organisation from September 05.
