Pacific Runway, a platform for Pacific origin fashion design, is returning for the seventh year.

Previous designers include Lyn-al Young, who was chosen as a David Jones’ emerging designer earlier this year.

In 2018, Indigenous luxury resortwear label Kirrikin will open the show as part of a new bid to involve Indigenous Australian designers.

The event will be part of Carriageworks' annual program for the third consecutive year.

Carriageworks director Lisa Havilah said it is a key part of the venue's strategy.

“Pacific Runway is a very important part of our annual Carriageworks Artistic Program.

"It is a privilege for Carriageworks to support such incredible design talent from across the Pacific and we look forward to continuing to grow our partnership into the future.”

Pacific Runway 2018 will launch the Resort ’18/19 collections by designers from all over the Pacific, NZ, USA, France and Australia.

The garments will be worn by Pacific origin and multicultural models, “diversity as the norm” being a highlight of the show.
