Today is International Day of People With Disability and Australian adaptive label, Christina Stephens, is celebrating with some big announcements.
The brand has today announced its expansion into menswear, revealed a new limited-edition printed t-shirt range and introduced new colours to its womenswear range.
Christina Stephens' long-awaited expansion into menswear begins with short and long-sleeve shirts from today, with denim and occasion wear set to be released in 2022.
"I had a wonderful conversation with one of the gentlemen we’ve worked with to make sure we get our designs right, and he’s so excited about Christina Stephens offering something stylish, comfortable and functional, that doesn’t feel like his grandad should be wearing it," Christina Stephens founder Jessie Sadler said of the new men's pieces.
"Something he said will stay will me forever: 'I just want a good-looking jacket and pants, so I can go out on dates and find a partner,'" she said.
The brand's new printed t-shirts have been designed by competition winner Jenna Dot.
Dot is an artist and a wheelchair user and has used the mantra 'ability within the disability' as inspiration for her winning artwork.
In addition to the men's pieces and the printed tees, Christina Stephens has also introduced dusty rose, sage green and soft grey colours to its women's colour palette.
All of the new Christina Stephens pieces are available online now.
International Day of People With Disability is celebrated annually on December 03.
