12 Australian fashion brands have teamed up with the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF) to raise critical funds during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
During October, brands will donate proceeds from the sale of their special-edition pink products towards breast cancer research.
Fashion brands including Camilla (pictured), Bisley, Tradie Underwear and Move Active have pledged their support for the cause.
Additionally, David Jones will donate $1 from the sale of every full-priced bra (in-store and online) to the NBCF.
NBCF CEO Professor Sarah Hosking thanked the participating companies for their ongoing support of breast cancer research.
"We are so grateful to our generous corporate partners for their support over the years with their special-edition pink products.
"Through initiatives like this, we can continue to work together and fund world-class research that supports our mission of Zero Deaths from breast cancer by 2030," she said.
According to Cancer Australia statistics, breast cancer is the most commonly diagnosed cancer in women in Australia.
One in seven women will be diagnosed in their lifetime, 55 people are diagnosed each day and sadly, nine Australians lose their lives each day to the disease.
Other brands involved in the campaign include Ghd, Estee Lauder, Clinique and ME Bank.
The money raised will go towards NBCF’s research projects which includes looking at how new technologies such as artificial intelligence and immunotherapy could help to save lives through early detection and new treatment options.
