Australian womenswear brand Black Pepper has marked Australian journalist Jo Hall as its first-ever brand ambassador.
Hall is predominantly known as the Nine News anchor, and her new ambassadorship is expected to reshape the Black Pepper's position in the market.
Black Pepper GM Rachel Digby welcomed the ambassadorship with Hall as a strategic move going forward.
"We see this as the perfect partnership,” Digby said. “Combining two equally iconic brands that share synergies of being trustworthy, high-quality and Australian in origin.
“Black Pepper has a very healthy loyal customer base, and we believe Jo is going to connect with our customers exceptionally well.”
Hall will be involved in Black Pepper’s major seasonal fashion campaigns as brand ambassador, as well as with the Ovarian Cancer Australia partnership and World Kindness Day projects.
"I am really excited to take this honour of being a Black Pepper Ambassador,” Hall said. “I hope to meet as many people as I can and share in the experience of being associated with such a popular and well established brand.”
The ambassadorship is expected to go beyond the traditional realm of campaign shoots, however with a “long wind brand stratagem” set for the future. According to Digby, this will include special projects such as styling videos and special events.
Black Pepper’s campaign with Hall and the brand’s latest range are available both instore and online.
Established in 1976, Black Pepper has grown to accrue 88 stores across Australia and New Zealand, as well as an online site, selling womenswear, accessories and homewares.
