Bayside Shopping Centre in Frankston, Victoria will dedicate an entire floor to fashion retailers, as part of a $35 million redevelopment.
The reworked centre, which has undergone a makeover worth almost $200 million dollars since 1999, is set to complete the ninth stage of rennovation in July and will soon be crowned the largest shopping centre on the Melbourne coast.
The latest refresh includes the introduction of an entire floor dedicated to fashion with new retailers such as Dotti, Colette Accessories, Lovisa, Typo and Bardot set to join the mix of stores on level one of the centre.
The fashion floor, split between youth and main stream fashion, as well as the signature brands around Myer, will also feature new outlets by Forever New, Factorie, Pandora, and Lorna Jane. Original tenants such as Country Road and Witchery, will also move to brand new and bigger stores.
The transformation – which spans four-and-a-half MCG Arenas – is designed to offer a contemporary and sophisticated feel across almost 90,000 square metres of retail space and, once finished, will be home to almost 300 retailers across fashion, food and lifestyle.
Bayside Centre manager Richard Devlin said the refreshed shopping precinct is so far receiving positive feedback from both both retailers and consumers.
“We’ve worked hard to ensure Bayside Shopping Centre will provide the most comprehensive shopping experience for residents of the Mornington Peninsula,” he said.
“The new look Bayside is already getting a great reaction from customers and retailers alike. Customers love the look of the new stores and retailers are excited to have a unified centre with stunning aesthetic appeal.”
Bayside Shopping Centre is managed by Colonial First State Global Asset Management.
