After 12 months of work, sustainable eyewear label Local Supply has unveiled a new capsule collection with Australian model and entrepreneur Lara Worthington.
The capsule collection features two original silhouettes – a vintage-inspired cateye and a modern wayfarer shape – designed by Worthington in collaboration with Local Supply head designer Petra Ekborn.
As with all Local Supply's frames, Worthington's collaboration frames are hand-made made using plant-based Italian Mazzucchelli acetate.
Speaking on the working with Local Supply, Worthington said she was drawn to the brand because of its sustainable focus.
"Eyewear has long been an obsession of mine.
"I love how a great pair of frames can be part of your signature look or can be switched up depending on your mood.
"I chose to work with Local Supply because they’re an independent, Australian-owned business.
"I was drawn to their focus on sustainability and design – as well as their commitment to giving back to their local community," she said.
The campaign was shot locally in Sydney by photographer Pierre Toussaint and styled by Vanessa Coyle, with personal pieces from Worthington’s own wardrobe.
Local Supply founder Sean Satha added that Worthington's personal touches brought the shoot to life.
"I feel like there was a strong alignment between us regarding brand values, product design and campaign creative – so it all felt very organic.
"Lara was very open-minded and ready to push the boundaries creatively – which made this collaboration a lot of fun to work on as well.
"We love that the final collection feels like an extension of Lara’s personal style – the campaign imagery feels very authentic as its styled with pieces from her personal wardrobe," he said.
The Local Supply x Lara Worthington capsule collection officially launches on March 16.
The collection's pre-sale went live on March 02 and has already sold out.
The frames retail for $225.
