SYDNEY: Rebel sport will be launching an innovative flagship concept in the new MidCity development in the Sydney CBD in June this year.
The athletic apparel retail chain will reveal a new store along with a special concept offer called Performance Sport by Rebel Sport. It will also feature a Nike Football concept space.
Rebel Sport will accompany approximately 30 other brands in the stage two development of the retail complex, with others yet to be announced. The stage two section will offer a direct link from Pitt Street Mall through to George Street. The walkway will be open until 10pm every night.
An accelerated opening for stage one of the development is scheduled, with it due to open on March 23. Around 13 stores including Witchery, Portmans, Forever New, G-Star Raw, Ojay and Diva will be unveiled.
When complete, the centre will be home to 50 stores. The project is a venture between Fortius Funds Management and Lend Lease. It has been designed by architectural firm Bates Smart. The four level space will embrace natural light, glass, steel and stone.
